Wynwood Walls and Art District, Miami

Just an Amazing Feast for the Eyes.  Stunning Works.

The Facts:

ACTIVITY: Art

TYPE: Outdoors.  Moderate walking

LOCATION:2520 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, Florida (for the actual Wynwood Walls)

We visited the Wynwood Walls as part of the Miami Culinary Tours Art tour and are so glad we did. Simply stunning with art on both a grand and small scale. We happened to visit the final weekend of November when artists were in the process of the ‘one time per year’ changeover of some of the art. So we got to see the artists at work. This is simply an amazing exhibition of art and styles. Beyond the Wynwood Walls and the Wynwood Doors there are blocks and blocks of amazing artwork in every direction. There’s also a lot of great little eateries and coffee shops as well so plan to make an entire afternoon of it.

I would arrive around 10:30am, grab a cup of coffee at Panther Coffee, then stroll up to Wynwood Walls and take in all the art both there and in the area for a couple of hours. Then grab lunch at one of the many area restaurants.  That’s really all I can say about it, it’s just visual amazement and well worth the visit.
