Café Raik, Duluth Georgia

Very Fresh and Flavorful Mediterranean Food.

The Facts:

CUISINE: Mediterranean – Fast Serve, Sandwiches, Soups and Entrees

LOCATION:1160 Old Peachtree Rd NW, Duluth, GA

WEBSITE: Café Raik

We stumbled upon Café Raik while driving by around lunchtime. We’d seen the sign in the past but this was our first time stopping by and we’re glad we did.

If you’ve never tried Mediterranean dishes like Falafel, Shwarma and other delights, this is a great spot for your introduction. The walls have many beautiful, oversized photos of many dishes to let you see what the dishes look like.

In fact, visit their website before you go to see pretty much every dish they make in beautiful photography.

My wife went with the Falafel sandwich on a pita and she loved it. Said it was one of the better falafel dishes she’s had in a long time. Drawn in by the photo, I went with the Beef Shwarma wrap. It was absolutely delicious, though I will say it appeared to have roasted red peppers in the photo and those were not in the wrap. It was still delicious, but wanted to mention that.

The only downside to the experience was the really loud music. Not sure why it needs to be that loud in a small restaurant but generally music sets the mood for a restaurant. It shouldn’t drown out conversation. That would be the one thing to keep us from revisiting Café Raik in the future. But very good food.
